Iran, Russia ink major energy contracts
Iranian and Russian officials on Wednesday, July 14, inked three major contracts on energy, oil and gas.
The contracts were inked by Iranian Oil Minister Massoud Mir-Kazemi and Russian Minister of Energy Sergei Shmatko in Moscow.
The three contracts included a major plan on cooperation between the two countries in the field of production, exploitation and investment in petrochemical and nuclear energy, and electricity for the next 30 years.
Meanwhile, the two cooperation agreements will foster gas, oil and energy cooperation between Iran and Russia.
Oil Minister of Iran arrived in Moscow on Wednesday to confer with Russian Minister of Energy on ways to foster gas, oil and energy cooperation.
Mir-Kazemi is visiting Russia at the invitation of Shmatko and in response to the visit of the Russian energy minister to Iran which took place last year.
In the meantime, Deputy Oil Mnister Javad Ouji heading a delegation arrived in the capital city of Moscow on Monday and held talks with Russian Deputy Energy Minister Sergei Kudryashov on promotion of gas, oil, energy and petrochemical relations.
