Private Sector to Play a Role in Oil Exports
Private sector will play a role in crude oil exports in near future.

Head of the Exporters of Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products’ Syndicate, Hasan Khosrojerdi, made the above remarks in a news conference on Sunday, April 29, adding private sector will take part in crude oil exports activates in near future.

He added the syndicate would assume the task of exporting 20 percent of the country s oil exports to new markets.

Last year Petroleum Ministry agreed with our proposition on private sector participation in oil exports activates, head of the syndicate said.

He noted the syndicate is seeking to find new markets, aside from those markets the government is engaged in.

On oil products exports, Khosrojerdi said the syndicate managed to export 18 billion dollars of oil and gas based products including petrochemicals.

He projected by entering to crude oil exports activities, the volume of syndicate s exports to rise to 30 billion dollars in current Iranian calendar year to 20th March 2013.

He also expressed hope oil products swaps to be resumed as soon as possible in order to prevent oil products smuggling in border areas.
